Sree Ramaswamy Named Chief Innovation Officer at NobleReach

Sreenivas Ramaswamy has been selected as the chief innovation officer at NobleReach, a nonprofit organization fostering private-public partnerships for talent and innovation in the national interest.

NobleReach said April 3 the new CIO will oversee the company’s technology, talent and investment efforts for national and economic security. 

Who Is Sree Ramaswamy?

Ramaswamy also currently serves as a non-resident senior technical expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Economic Security and Technology Department.

He is a former senior adviser for industrial policy and technology strategy at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He advised Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo on emerging technology, supply chain resiliency and industrial policy. He helped develop and implement the CHIPS and Science Act and other initiatives related to semiconductors, supply chains, and critical technologies.

Before joining the Commerce Department, Ramaswamy worked for over 12 years as a partner at McKinsey & Company and its non-profit business and economics research arm, McKinsey Global Institute. In this capacity, he oversaw the research agenda on global competition, technology disruption and the factors influencing multinational companies.

Ramaswamy previously served as manager for spectrum development at SES, where he was responsible for satellite network design, technical data analysis for satellite inference and marketing collateral development. He also worked at Hughes Network Systems for six years as a senior systems engineer, helping develop a $2 billion broadband satellite data network.
