Julian Setian, president and CEO of SOS International, has been presented with the 2025 Wash100 Award during a personal visit by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.
Setian earned his fourth Wash100 honor for leading SOSi in its continuous support of U.S. government and military missions globally.
“I’m pleased to welcome Julian back to the Wash100; this is Julian’s fourth award,” said Garrettson. “His leadership at SOSi continues to steer the company toward increased critical national security work, from supporting State Department operations in the Middle East to providing declassification and records management services for the Army,” he added.
The Wash100 Award founder further remarked, “Julian has also been vocal about the role of AI in federal law enforcement, ensuring SOSi continues to increase market share in emerging technologies. Julian is forward-thinking and continually impresses upon his leadership team to demonstrate leading-edge technologies for differentiation in the bustling international GovCon segment.”
SOSi’s 2024 Accomplishments
SOSi gained major strides under Setian’s leadership, earning significant contracts in 2024. The company was awarded a $493 million task order in June to provide technical and mission support to the U.S. Special Operations Command. Along with Peraton, SOSi also secured a deal with the Army’s Regional Cyber Center-Europe for network engineering, cyber defense and information assurance services.
Aside from aiding the military through major awards, SOSi also extends help to military veterans and their families transitioning to civilian life. The company employs veterans, as well as military spouses, to help them thrive after their military careers.
SOSi was recognized for its efforts in supporting veterans, including the 2024 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the Department of Labor. The award, under the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act Medallion Program, pays tribute to companies that employ military veterans.
In addition, Setian spearheads SOSi’s mission to guide the government and military in their modernization initiatives. The company is leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance legacy systems, develop policies, train civil servants and develop the decision-making capabilities of various agencies.
