Ryan Lewis Named Rancher Government Solutions CEO

Ryan Lewis has been selected as the chief executive officer at Rancher Government Solutions.

RGS said Monday Lewis’ appointment aligns with the company’s significant growth driven by government agencies’ need for modern, open-source, container and Kubernetes technologies for their modernization initiatives. With his extensive experience in artificial intelligence, national security and technological innovation, Lewis is primed to take RGS to the next level and continue to provide these agencies with the innovations needed to modernize their legacy IT infrastructures.

Career History

Lewis most recently served as a partner at SRI Ventures, where he focused on investing in early-stage deep tech companies and oversaw their development. He was also a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies International Security Program.

The industry veteran worked at Amazon Web Services for nearly two years as a senior practice manager for AI and machine learning security. At In-Q-Tell, Lewis served as senior vice president and director. He was instrumental in the creation of an applied research lab that developed open-sourced advanced AI capabilities.

Lewis co-founded SpaceNet in 2016 and served as its general manager until ownership was transitioned to Maxar in March 2021. The senior executive worked at CSC for over five years serving in various roles including account general manager, deputy program manager and senior consultant.

The RGS CEO serves on numerous advisory and independent boards for AI startups such as Clear Fracture, Kurve, Yurtz, Unstructured, MetroStar, Entropy Robotics and Lisa Health, among others.
