T2S Solutions has completed the acquisition of Blue Marble Communications, Business Wire reported Tuesday.
The Belcamp, Maryland-based advanced technologies provider aims to bolster its presence in the space technology market with the acquisition of Blue Marble, a company that offers high-performance space-qualified technology.
Enhancing T2S Expansion Efforts
The Madison Dearborn Partners-backed acquisition propels T2S’s strategic growth towards becoming a major provider of mission-critical technologies in space and other domains. T2S will leverage Blue Marble’s product portfolio to boost its expansion. This includes onboard processors, optical terminals, network routers, radio frequency modems and transceivers and edge processors.
Through the acquisition, both companies will cater to the emerging space industry while enhancing its capabilities in Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or JADC2, positioning, navigation and timing, or PNT, cybersecurity and lunar technologies across government and commercial sectors.
Boosting Blue Marble’s Operations
In addition, the acquisition enables Blue Marble to boost its resources and production capacity and enhance research and development to accelerate in-orbit data processing technology in support of future satellite constellations. It intends to bolster product development, manufacturing and deployment.
“We have produced industry-leading, high-performance solutions, bringing outsized value to government and commercial customers,” said Neal Nicholson, founder and CEO of Blue Marble. “Now, with additional investment and infrastructure, we look forward to bringing even more capabilities to our customers at a greater scale and ultimately strengthen our ability to develop and evolve technology that promotes a global community,” he added.
“Blue Marble brings a strong track record of innovation in space communications, and its products are highly relevant to the evolving needs of both government and commercial customers,” said Tim Gay, co-founder and CEO of T2S.
