SAIC has appointed Jonas Lazo and Justin Magruder to new executive roles. Lazo confirmed Tuesday that he has assumed the role of chief technology officer for West Indo-Pacific, while Magruder now serves as the company’s partner and chief data officer for mission advisory services.
Who is Jonas Lazo?
Lazo is a military and government contracting industry expert with over 30 decades of experience.
He joined SAIC in June 2024 as a digital engineering architect overseeing the company’s efforts to support the Department of Defense’s Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control in the Indo-Pacific.
The executive also held positions at Camp Run-A-Mutt Point Loma, Centers for Adaptive Warfighting, Sev1Tech, QinetiQ North America, Litton PRC Defense Services Group and Cubic Defense Applications.
His military career includes 11 years of service at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, over five years at the U.S. Navy Reserve and over three years at the Navy Fighter Weapons School.

Meanwhile, Magruder has been at SAIC since 2020. He currently serves as chairman of Noetic Partners, a company he founded, and the Electronic Commerce Code Management Association.
His resume also includes leadership positions at Freddie Mac, Knightsbridge Solutions, Deutsche Bank, Scudder Investments, Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan and Electronic Data Systems.
In his new role, Magruder will leverage his expertise in advanced data strategies and AI solutions to support client missions and deliver innovative and transformative services to government agencies.
