Colorado Springs, Colorado-based Frontgrade provides high-reliability, mission-critical electronics for national security and space missions, including rad-hard and rad-tolerant components, motion control systems, antennas, custom ASICs and power management systems.

What Does IDSI Do?

IDSI designs, develops and produces SWaP-C solid-state, high-power RF amplifiers and amplifier-based subsystems.

The York, Pennsylvania-based division’s products cover High Frequency and Super High Frequency bands and support electronic warfare, tactical data link, communications and other tactical missions of the Department of Defense.

Mason Carter, president of IDSI, said the transaction allows the division to leverage Frontgrade’s industry presence and resources to address next-generation requirements, deliver a unique value proposition to customers and further advance innovation.
