VA Awards 4 Spots on Medical Disability Exam Support IDIQ

The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded four companies positions on a follow-on, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide medical disability examination services in Regions 1 through 4.

According to award notices published in December on the Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation, the awardees are Maximus business Veterans Evaluation Services, Leidos subsidiary QTC Medical Services, Optumserve Health Services and Loyal Source Government Services.

Under the IDIQ contract, the vendors will support the Veterans Benefits Administration’s Medical Disability Examination Office by processing medical exams to facilitate the delivery of disability claims benefits to retired service personnel.

Contract Scope

In a news release published Monday, Leidos said its QTC Health Services subsidiary will provide the exams and related case administration services under the IDIQ contract, including appointment scheduling, claimant communication, system interfaces with VBA IT systems, provider training and medical records management.

According to Leidos, the contract has a one-year base term and an option year and includes performance-based measures of exam production, average days pending, average days to complete, quality of service and customer satisfaction evaluations.
