Gareth Maclachlan has assumed the role of chief product officer at Trellix. The California-based cybersecurity company said Maclachlan will lead product development and work with the Trellix’s detection engineering and threat intelligence teams to deliver security tools to meet customers’ needs.

The executive has been with Trellix for over three years, first holding the position of senior vice president for integration and transformation and interim chief information officer. He was appointed to SVP and general manager of the company’s network and email business in September 2022.
He also served in leadership roles at FireEye and was involved in its merger with McAfee in 2021.
Before Trellix, he was in charge of product management and go-to-market for Mandiant Managed Defense, Consulting and Threat Intelligence.
Maclachlan was the chief operating officer at AdaptiveMobile, where he oversaw new product initiatives, created new partnerships and drove growth. His resume includes positions at ETF, PwC Consulting and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
“Gareth is a key product strategist executing the company’s mission to deliver customers best-in-class security products built on our integrated security platform,” said Trellix CEO Bryan Palma. “With his proven track record driving innovation and deep experience in cybersecurity, he’s well positioned to help take Trellix into its next chapter of growth.”
In a statement, Maclachlan commented that he is looking forward to innovating artificial intelligence and generative AI across Trellix platforms and empowering customers with operational threat intelligence.
