NSF Issues RFQ for Unified Network for Innovative Technology and Engineering BPA

The National Science Foundation has issued a request for quotation for the Unified Network for Innovative Technology and Engineering, or UNITE, blanket purchase agreement.

According to the notice posted on SAM.gov Wednesday, NSF seeks to advance the procurement of innovative research, STEM education expansion and the development of an inclusive scientific workforce. The federal agency aims to boost scientific progress with a focus on strengthening the United States’ global edge in scientific and technological innovation.

Unified Network for Innovative Technology and Engineering Initiative 

The UNITE initiative is intended to optimize procurement processes and to encourage collaborations aimed at advancing innovation, including research, data management and efficient use of resources to address evolving scientific, economic and societal challenges.

UNITE Blanket Purchase Agreement

The UNITE BPA aims to determine a strategic sourcing vehicle to procure the needed services. Under the BPA, contractors will provide professional business administrative, technical, engineering, training, marketing and public relations support services to NSF organizational units.

The BPA contract will be led by a small business while small and large businesses will be designated as subcontractors. Interested vendors have until Feb. 7 to submit their responses.
