Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific has announced plans to conduct a full and open competition for a project to establish a joint consolidated communications center at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
According to a presolicitation notice published Tuesday, the project is estimated to be between $100 million and $250 million.
The project seeks to consolidate the military installation’s C4I and IT functions by constructing a two-story facility that will provide communications and administrative support space for the 36th Communications Squadron.
NAVFAC Pacific plans to release a request for proposals on or around Jan. 30, and hold a preproposal site visit on Feb. 27, to allow offerors to familiarize themselves with the job site and other conditions.
Contract Scope
According to the notice, the command will conduct the procurement through the lowest price technically acceptable source selection process.
The construction project should include at least one of the following features: precision cooling system; uninterruptable power supply system; and clean agent fire suppression system.
Contract work will include electrical, mechanical, water, communication, fire suppression and detection, utilities, air conditioning system with humidity environmental controls, pavements, security, parking, related site improvements and all needed supporting facilities.
