Jennifer Walsmith Appointed Intelligence & Cybersecurity President at Amentum

Jennifer Walsmith, a former Northrop Grumman executive, has been named president of intelligence and cybersecurity at Amentum.

The advanced engineering and innovative technology services provider said Tuesday Walsmith will supervise the team responsible for developing and delivering innovative national security, intelligence and cybersecurity capabilities for the intelligence and defense sectors in the United States, including 18 Intelligence Community agencies and the Department of Defense.

Jennifer Walsmith’s Career Overview

Walsmith has over three decades of experience in the defense and national security industry across a range of technology-driven markets, including private, public, commercial and academic sectors. She possesses a diverse set of expertise in areas such as profit and loss management, strategic value creation, digital transformation, complex systems development and troubled program recovery.

Before joining Amentum, Walsmith worked at Northrop for over nine years. She most recently served as corporate vice president of cyber and information solutions where she spearheaded the growth of the business with a focus on cyber survivability, critical infrastructure, autonomous systems and digital speed. She was also the VP of the company’s integrated national systems space ISR systems division.

The strategic business leader spent 15 years with the National Security Agency before joining the private sector. Walsmith served as a senior acquisition executive and deputy program executive officer. While at the NSA, she was also part of the Intelligence Community Acquisition Council and the DOD Senior Integration Group.
