Emergency management company IEM International has announced several leadership appointments to drive growth and innovation and improve service delivery.
John Schlegel’s Appointment as CFO
IEM said Thursday John Schlegel, interim chief financial officer, has been officially named CFO.
As interim CFO, Schlegel has been key in strengthening the company’s financial strategy and driving growth over the past year.
The certified public accountant brings to the role his experience in internal and external audits, fixed asset tracking, financial statement preparation and compilation and account reconciliation.
Prior to IEM, he served as an audit supervisor at a large accounting firm.
“His performance over the past year has been exceptional, and I have full confidence in his ability to guide us into the next phase of growth,” IEM President and CEO Bryan Koon said of Schlegel.
Krista Houk Promoted to Preparedness Leadership Post
Krista Houk, who has been with IEM for a decade, has taken on the role of director of planning and preparedness.
In this capacity, she will help customers promote a culture of readiness within their organizations and the communities they serve.
IEM Names 4 Account Executives
The company has appointed four leaders to account executive roles within its growth team.
Andrew Velasquez will apply his experience in emergency management and homeland security as Northeast Region account executive.
David Andrews has been named Atlantic Region account executive. In this role, he will leverage his experience in disaster recovery and emergency management to improve IEM’s services.
Kristin Robinson will help expand support to federal partners as FEMA account executive.
Rashid Chotani, IEM’s chief medical officer, will take on additional responsibilities as federal health account executive.
