Harmonia Acquires Cybersecurity Company Maveris

Federal technology services contractor Harmonia Holdings Group has acquired Maveris for an undisclosed sum to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities and expand relationships with other government customers, including the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Harmonia said Wednesday it will operate Maveris as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Brian Heder and Casey Woodyard will continue to lead the Maveris business as executive vice president of strategy and EVP of operations, respectively.

Damon Griggs, CEO and chairman of Harmonia, said he is excited to bring the two companies together to develop innovative platforms and address the customers’ most complex challenges.

“Harmonia and Maveris fit together perfectly given our complementary capabilities and aligned culture, and this strategic combination is a huge step in our growth journey,” Griggs added.

What Does Maveris Do?

Maveris is a cybersecurity company focused on helping federal agencies develop secure digital platforms to accelerate their mission.

The company’s capabilities include cyber threat hunting, incident response, threat intelligence, high-value asset assessments, adversarial emulation, infrastructure modernization and software development.

1st Addition to Harmonia Platform Following MDP Investment

The transaction marks the first addition to the Harmonia platform after the company secured a significant investment from Madison Dearborn Partners in September 2024 to provide funding to drive organic growth and pursue mergers and acquisitions to broaden capabilities in support of agency customers.

Harmonia provides technologies to help federal clients harness the power of data to support missions. Its technical professionals develop platforms in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, analytics and cloud optimization.

The company’s portfolio of contract vehicles and partners supports a federal client base that includes the departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Agriculture.

Alston & Bird and Jenner & Block served as Harmonia’s legal counsel in the transaction. KippsDeSanto & Co. acted as financial adviser and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman offered legal advice to Maveris.
