Columbus Wins $1.1B NASA Electrical Systems Engineering IV Contract

NASA has awarded Columbus Technologies and Services a potential five-year, $1.1 billion follow-on contract to provide electrical and electronic engineering support for the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

The agency said Wednesday the fourth iteration of the Electrical Systems Engineering Services contract, or ESES IV, will support various technical divisions at NASA Goddard, including the Electrical Engineering Division, Instrument Systems and Technology Division, Software Engineering Division and Mission Engineering and Systems Analysis Division.

ESES IV Contract Scope

According to a request for proposals issued in May 2023, the contractor will also provide onsite and offsite engineering services in accordance with the task orders issued by the contracting officer.

The IDIQ contract includes services across nine function areas: pre-formulation and formulation services; implementation phase services; research and technology; parts and materials program services; documentation; maintenance; sustaining engineering services; education; and standards and process.
