Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corp. has completed the acquisition of a majority interest in Delta Solutions & Strategies, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business offering defense support services.
UIC said Delta is now part of the Bowhead Family of Companies within its government services division. The move is considered the largest acquisition by UIC so far and was led by UIC Chief Operating Officer Jeevan Pokharel.
Delta Acquisition
The acquisition of Delta, recognized as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year 2023 by the Small Business Administration, aims to enhance Bowhead’s growth, particularly in the Department of Defense and space sectors. Delta will contribute its extensive industry experience, including new capabilities in military training, operations, maintenance, modeling, simulations and advisory services.
Delta will also be provided with access to more DOD and federal contracts. In addition to expanding its market, the acquisition also enables it to bolster its expertise and services. Furthermore, it will have access to more funding opportunities.
Mike Hundley, president of government services at UIC, stated, “We are confident that this acquisition will significantly benefit Delta’s employees and customers and are excited about the opportunities ahead.”
Delta Solutions & Strategies President and CEO Mark Stafford, added, “Delta’s expertise and reputation in the space community, matched with Bowhead’s extensive service offerings and well-defined federal contracting practices, will allow us to unlock a new level of value for our organizations and customers.”
Pearl Brower, UIC president and CEO, said, “By leveraging Delta’s specialized expertise, we are positioned to offer an even broader range of services, helping our clients address the ever-evolving challenges in defense and national security.”
