SOS International has promoted Mike Franz, most recently senior vice president for corporate operations, to chief operating officer and appointed business leaders Beth Caldera and Wendy Mills as vice president of contracts and procurement and VP of security, respectively.

Mike Franz
The newly appointed COO brings over 25 years of experience in business development, revenue capture management, operations, procurement, executive management and finance to the role.
Since joining SOSi in 2015, Franz has served as a business unit and growth leader and provided cross-departmental oversight to optimize technology, talent and capabilities while advancing strategy implementation to drive profitability.
The Bryant University graduate’s industry career included time serving as division manager at Leidos, VP and deputy division manager at Science Applications International Corp. and VP and procurement manager at Preferred Equipment.
Beth Caldera
Caldera is responsible for SOSi’s contracts and procurement department, which includes subcontracts, contract risk management and compliance.
She has nearly two decades of experience in contract management, proposal support, risk mitigation and contract negotiation spanning the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and federal civilian agencies.
Before SOSi, the contracts and procurement lead held leadership positions at Applied Insight, Leidos, SAIC and the CIA.
The Virginia Tech graduate holds TS/SCI clearance and is an active member of the National Contract Management Association.
Wendy Mills
Mills manages the development and enforcement of SOSi’s security policies to protect company assets and ensure the government services contractor’s compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and IC regulations.
The SOSi executive has over two decades of experience in the security field and previously served as senior security manager at Centauri, now part of KBR.
She is a member of the Professional Services Council and the Society of Industrial Security Professionals.
