SAIC Wins Spot on $1.8B DOD PRISM Contract

Science Applications International Corp. has won a position on the potential five-year, $1.8 billion Personnel and Readiness Infrastructure Support Management, or PRISM, contract vehicle to provide critical support services for the Department of Defense.

SAIC said Monday the company will help DOD improve readiness through the contract by providing data integration and analytics support to enhance operational workflows and strategic decision-making and reinforce national security.

What Is PRISM?

PRISM is a multiple award task order contract, or MATOC, designed to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, or OUSD P&R, its directorates and strategic mission partners by providing services meant to meet the demands associated with a global threat and security environment.

The contract vehicle will advance the use of Streamline Task Order Ordering Procedures, or STOOP, to reduce the acquisition lead time and achieve increased flexibility for the procurement process.

The contract has a one-year base period and four option years and will require the awardee to perform several tasks, such as providing contract program management, engineering and information security, offering logistics, procurement and life cycle services and developing and delivering training.

In February, the General Services Administration issued a solicitation for the PRISM MATOC.

Supporting OUSD P&R Through PRISM

Josh Jackson, executive vice president and manager of the Army business group at SAIC, said the company aims to improve the operational capabilities of OUSD P&R and its directorates through the contract.

“We steadfastly commit to providing innovative and cost-effective services as well as leveraging expertise in technology integration, data analytics, and mission support to empower OUSD P&R to streamline operations, optimize readiness, and ensure a resilient and agile defense personnel framework,” added Jackson, a 2024 Wash100 awardee.
