J&J Worldwide Services, a CBRE government and defense business, has promoted Patrick Roddy, most recently executive vice president of operations, to CEO and executive managing director.
In a LinkedIn post published Monday, J&J said Roddy succeeds Steve Kelley, who will take on the role of vice chairman and senior adviser for commercial strategy and strategic partnerships for CBRE’s global workplace solutions segment and government and defense services business.
Patrick Roddy
The newly appointed chief executive joined J&J in June as operations EVP, bringing over 20 years of military service experience to the role.
Roddy is former president of American Facilities Professionals, where he also served as EVP and chief operating officer and played a role in expanding facilities management, electric vehicle infrastructure and consulting portfolios.
“Patrick’s distinguished military career as a U.S. Army Infantry Colonel and his proven leadership across global markets make him exceptionally well-suited to lead J&J forward,” said Darren Blue, group president of CBRE Government & Defense Services. “His expertise aligns perfectly with our focus on expanding into new markets and supporting critical missions that demand operational excellence in high-trust environments.”
Steve Kelley
Kelley will transition into an advisory role after serving for five years as president and CEO of J&J Worldwide Services.
Prior to J&J, he spent more than a decade at BMAR & Associates, where he served as VP of business development.
“Steve’s dedication and strategic leadership have been invaluable to J&J’s success,” Blue stated. “I am deeply grateful for his contributions and look forward to continuing to benefit from his experience and insight in his new advisory role.”
In February, Dallas-based real estate services and investment firm CBRE completed its acquisition of federal contractor J&J Worldwide Services from Arlington Capital Partners for approximately $800 million in cash as part of efforts to expand its public sector capabilities.
