Lockheed Martin has received a U.S. Navy contract worth approximately $198.1 million to provide maintenance, program management and logistics support services for Australia’s fleet of MH-60R helicopters.
IDIQ Contract Scope
The Department of Defense said Friday the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will provide through life support, or TLS, services for 36 MH-60R aircraft units to enable the Royal Australian Navy to provide all-inclusive sustainment and operational capabilities for the helicopter, related aircraft and support systems and test equipment.
Lockheed’s rotary and mission systems business will perform work in Australia, New York and Connecticut through January 2028.
Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and will obligate funds upon issuance of individual orders.
What Is MH-60R?
The MH-60R Seahawk helicopter is designed to deliver anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare capabilities to naval forces worldwide.
The aircraft is equipped with air-to-ground missiles, torpedoes and other weapons systems and advanced digital sensors, including electro-optical/infrared camera, multimode radar, electronic support measures system, dipping sonar and sonobuoys and datalinks.
The helicopter’s mission system is designed to process sensor data to provide a complete situational view of the ocean surface and subsea domain.
