KBR has received a potential five-year, $445 million recompete task order to help expand capabilities for the Department of Defense’s Joint Mission Environment Test Capability, or JMETC, Program.
The company said Monday it will support the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Test Resource Management Center, or TRMC, in broadening test and experimentation connectivity under the follow-on JMETC task order under the DOD Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract, or DOD IAC MAC, vehicle.
KBR will also provide research, system development, data analysis, assessment and strategic planning support to help build enhanced capabilities for test and experimentation environments.
“Building upon more than 24 years of support to this customer, KBR continues to leverage enhanced capabilities for critical technology areas for the Department of Defense,” said KBR President and CEO Stuart Bradie. “This contract highlights KBR’s commitment and support to the United States military through innovation and technological developments.”
What Is JMETC?
The JMETS environment provides a test infrastructure that supports joint distributed test events through the integration of live, virtual and constructive test resources to support the needs of users.
The program’s mission is to deliver a persistent capability for connecting distributed facilities, enabling DOD customers to build and test warfighting capabilities in a joint context. It provides its customers with a support team to help with JMETC products and distributed testing efforts.
DOD IAC Program
Created in 1946, the DOD IAC program provides technical data management and research support for users across DOD and the federal government and drives innovation and technological developments in support of the department’s science and technology and acquisition communities.
The U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron awards DOD IAC MAC task orders to advance the development of knowledge to improve the Defense Technical Information Center repository and the S&T and research and development communities.
