Amentum, an advanced engineering and innovative technology provider, has secured a $105 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division to develop its next generation ectronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
The company said Monday the research, development, test and evaluation contract, awarded under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract vehicle, aims to enhance EW and ISR mission and survivability systems capabilities to strengthen U.S. national security.
Scope of Amentum RDT&E Contract
Under the contract, Amentum will perform system upgrades by replacing old and obsolete parts and systems with modern technology. The company will lead RDT&E engineering efforts to optimize the complete lifecycle of advanced surveillance systems. These include vehicle integration, platform integration, sensor integration, supply chain security, obsolescence analysis and anti-tamper technologies.
Amentum will leverage its Integrated Digital Engineering Approach to identify and integrate emerging technologies to keep up with evolving threats. The company expects to sustain technological edge through quick analysis and engineering development.
The 60-month cost-plus/fixed-fee task orders are awarded by the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron. The project will be conducted in Crane, Indiana.
