Riverbed, an IT services provider, has appointed Kris Luhrsen, a senior executive with extensive sales leadership and management experience in the technology industry, as chief revenue officer.
In a statement published Wednesday, Riverbed CEO David Donatelli welcomed Luhrsen to the company’s leadership team.
“Kris’ deep understanding of the technology landscape and track record in scaling revenue, leading high-performance teams and customer engagement makes him the ideal person to guide our sales function forward and drive growth for Riverbed’s Observability and Acceleration solutions,” the Riverbed chief executive said.
Luhrsen developed his sales leadership and management skills in the technology industry, working in startups like TeamQuest and blue-chip firms like Cisco and IBM. Before this appointment, Luhrsen was chief sales officer at cybersecurity firm Venafi for two years.
As Riverbed CRO, Luhrsen is expected to drive business growth and sales strategy. He will oversee global sales, channel and alliances, renewals and customer success, consulting architects, professional services, and sales operations.
“I’m excited to join Riverbed to serve as CRO at a time when there’s significant market momentum around Riverbed’s AI-powered platform and industry-leading solutions,” said Luhrsen. He added that he is ready to support Riverbed customers.
Luhrsen’s appointment came after the company launched the Riverbed Platform and announced various new data observability and AIOps offerings in an effort to further help organizations optimize user experiences by leveraging AI automation to prevent, identify and resolve IT issues.
