Kellen Schollaert, director of strategy and enablement at Penlink, said artificial intelligence-powered open source intelligence, or OSINT, tools could help analysts at government agencies quickly detect emerging threats and rapidly glean insights from vast amounts of data to speed up decision-making and support missions.
In an article published on Carahsoft.com, Schollaert noted that generative AI is transforming OSINT capabilities.
“Analysts can ask questions about their collected data to almost instantly identify specific pieces of information that previously would have stayed hidden or taken an unreasonable amount of time to uncover,” he noted.
“Built-in generative AI can also guide a collector or analyst in the identification of effective workflows depending on a desired mission outcome,” Schollaert added.
In this piece, the Penlink executive discussed how the company’s digital intelligence platform helps streamline open source investigations and supports analysts and collectors in accelerating the creation of actionable intelligence.
Schollaert stated that the company actively works with the user community to enhance its platform and support customers’ missions.
The strategy chief cited the addition of geospatial intelligence and web intelligence-based capabilities to the platform to help generate leads and uncover threat actors.
“By doing this, we empower organizations to stay ahead of emerging threats and enable them to make faster, better informed decisions when it matters most,” he added.
