Josh Salmanson, a sales and business executive with over 25 years of experience, has been appointed vice president and practice lead for defensive cyber operations of the digital modernization team at Leidos, the executive announced on LinkedIn Wednesday.
In his new role, Salmanson will leverage his know-how in designing, deploying and managing highly available systems, secure data centers and networks. His experience in enterprise architectures, security and information assurance, systems engineering and application development, system integration, network/systems management platforms and network design, test, deployment and operations will also be instrumental as he takes on the Leidos post.
Josh Salmanson’s Career Highlights
Salmanson most recently worked as managing director of The Iron Forged Group and was part of the technology advisory board of Concurrent Technologies Corp., a nonprofit defense and space contractor. He also served as senior vice president of technology solutions at Telos and as VP and chief architect at ECS Federal.
Moreover, the global cyber and technology executive spent time at NCI Information Systems, serving as VP for the software architecture and cybersecurity and emerging technology divisions. He was chief technology officer for both Parsons and Lockheed Martin where he worked for almost 10 years.
Early in his career, Salmanson served as a systems engineer for a couple of companies, director of information technology at eSylvan and director of enterprise engineering at Pomeroy. He also worked at Critical Path Program Management and Customer Value Partners.
