Science Applications International Corp. has named industry veteran Heath Starr as health market leader and chief innovation officer for its civilian business group.
“This is an exciting opportunity to leverage the innovation and expertise that I have gained working across the firm and the industry to bring even greater client value in the areas of Enterprise IT, Health IT, and Health Operations,” Starr said in a LinkedIn post published Friday.
In this capacity, the health business leader will also drive go-to-market strategies, partnerships and enterprise platforms across SAIC’s five markets to provide greater connectivity between the field and the enterprise, according to his profile on the professional networking platform.
Starr has been with SAIC for over a decade and held senior leadership positions, including senior vice president for product, partnerships and ventures, chief operating officer for Koverse and VP of innovation.
Prior to SAIC, he spent eight years at General Dynamics Information Technology, where he served as director of civilian programs and senior program manager.
The SAIC SVP also served within the Department of Homeland Security as a special assistant to the undersecretary for management.
