DCS, an engineering and technical services provider, has appointed Jeff Merli as vice president and division manager of the F/A-18 Software Engineering Support Division. The company said Thursday that Merli and his team will support the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at Naval Air Weapons Center in China Lake, California.
He succeeds Nancy Mahoney, who is stepping down from the role to retire after 20 years at DCS.
Who is Jeff Merli?
Merli joined the Alexandria, Virginia-headquartered company in 2005 as a branch manager. He later became operations department manager for the company’s software engineering department.
The executive has extensive experience collaborating with the NAWCWD from his time as task lead of the H-1 Weapons System Support Activity at China Lake.
“Jeff is a recognized asset to DCS who consistently delivers technical excellence to his customers within NAWCWD, furthering DCS’s legacy of success with this critical, long-term customer,” commented DCS CEO Jim Benbow. “We are happy to have Jeff continue his leadership in this new role.”
Merli will oversee software engineering development for the F/A-18 program and support the Integrated Product Team to serve U.S. military and foreign nation customers.
