Under the three-year award, BAE’s technology solutions and services business will provide the contracting activity, Strategic Systems Programs, with services related to technical planning, requirements management and subsystem integration. According to a SAM.gov notice, these include support for the Columbia-class common missile compartment, data management and configuration management, SWS system security engineering, SWS safety engineering support and nuclear weapons safety and SSP infrastructure operations, model based engineering and information systems program acquisition engineering support services.
The defense contractor will perform 85 percent of the work at its Rockville, Maryland facility. The rest of the work will be done in Washington, D.C., League City, Texas and other locations. The project includes two one-year options and will be completed by Sept. 30, 2027, if all options are exercised.
An amount of $1.3 million will be allocated from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds while $18.2 million from fiscal 2025 weapons procurement funds will be awarded at the time of award.
