QinetiQ US has received a U.S. Army contract worth approximately $95 million to produce and deliver aerial target systems to the military branch in support of its training and testing activities.
The company said Monday it will compete for task orders under the Aerial Target Systems 3 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded by Army Contracting Command-Orlando.
The multiple-award ATS-3 IDIQ contract covers research and development work on new target technologies, integration of advanced payloads for threat replication, systems engineering and software development support to improve autonomous capabilities.

Our end-to-end expertise in target systems, from development to comprehensive training and logistics support, ensures that we can meet the complex needs of our defense customers,” said Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of QinetiQ US.
The 2024 Wash100 awardee added that the contract reinforces the company’s position as a provider of advanced target systems in support of the armed forces’ readiness and technological advancement.
The contract also includes flight operations, technical services and other operational support to help ensure maximum system reliability and effectiveness during test and training events.
