The General Services Administration has announced that 100 companies secured positions on the small business pool of the Polaris governmentwide acquisition contract for information technology products and services.
GSA released the list of apparent awardees on the Polaris GWAC Small Business Pool in a pre-award notice published Thursday on SAM.gov.
The agency said it will only consider protests challenging the size of apparent winners at this time and will refer them to the Small Business Administration.
In September 2022, GSA issued requests for proposals for the Polaris contract vehicle’s Historically Underutilized Business Zone and service-disabled veteran-owned small business pools.
According to a notice issued on Sept. 3, the agency plans to announce the awardees on the women-owned small business, HUBZone and SDVOSB pools of Polaris later in fiscal year 2025.
Polaris GWAC Small Business Pool
In March 2022, GSA initially released the RFPs for small business and WOSB pools but decided to pause the solicitations to pave the way for a review following receipt of feedback regarding the evaluation of joint ventures under the contract.
Three months later, a solicitation was reissued for the Polaris small business pool after GSA integrated changes to submission requirements for relevant experience concerning JVs and mentor-protege arrangements.
The Polaris GWAC small business pool is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that seeks to deliver customized IT services across emerging technology areas, including artificial intelligence, advanced and quantum computing, automation technology, edge computing, distributed ledger technology and immersive technology.
Performance areas include cloud services, cybersecurity, data management, information and communications technologies, IT operations and maintenance, software development and system design.
