Rick Garceau, former Federal Aviation Administration leader, was appointed vice president at Changeis.
He will build on his four decades of experience in air traffic control management, safety management, technical training and space or UAS new entrant operations to identify and pursue new business opportunities for Changeis, the company said Wednesday.
The Changeis VP will also be responsible for developing strategic partnerships and driving overall revenue growth for the company.
Garceau previously worked at Aviation Management Associates as senior associate responsible for government and commercial customers with comprehensive management services.
He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran and has expertise in actionable strategy, execution, capture, program capture and personnel management.
“Rick’s appointment reflects our continued investment in assembling an exceptional team that understands the FAA’s evolving needs and can deliver transformative solutions,” said Changeis President Varun Malhotra. “I am confident his extensive experience in aviation management and his deep understanding of Air Traffic operations will provide the key voice of customer within our leadership team.”
Changeis’ FAA Contract
In July, Changeis secured a $103 million FAA award for the second iteration of the Air Traffic Organization technical analysis and program support contract. The contractor is tasked to deliver a range of technical analysis, planning and management support to ATO directorates in support of agency missions.
The ATAPS II contract aims to help ATO, which serves as FAA’s operational arm that has 35,000 personnel focused on providing air navigation service to ensure safe and efficient movement of almost 45,000 IFR-certified flights per day.
