Air Force Advanced Battle Management System BAA
Responses Due: Feb. 27, 2025
The Advanced Battle Management System is the U.S. Air Force’s portion of Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or CJADC2, a DOD-wide effort to strengthen communications capabilities across the joint force, its allies and other partners. This broad agency announcement serves as a vehicle for the USAF to build a portfolio of projects associated with the ABMS and wider CJADC2 effort. It includes six main areas of focus:
- Sensor integration
- Data
- Secure processing
- Connectivity
- Applications
- Effects integration
SDA Systems, Technologies and Emerging Capabilities BAA
Responses Due: Jan. 15, 2025
The Space Development Agency is looking to improve its Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture through this BAA, which asks businesses to submit executive summaries, invited proposal abstracts and invited proposals for new capabilities that could enhance future tranches of the constellation. The opportunity covers “novel architecture concepts, systems, technologies and capabilities” for the PWSA’s planned capability layers as well as any technologies that could address additional warfighting challenges. Its four target areas are:
- Efficient beyond line-of-sight data transport and warfighter communications
- Advanced/alternation position, navigation and timing
- Advanced target custody, warning, tracking and defeat
- Global battle management
DOD Strategic Trends Research Initiative BAA
Responses Due: August 2029
The Strategic Trends Research Initiative BAA is a DOD effort to better understand the state of weapons of mass destruction, or WMD, across the globe and associated challenges. This research project has a specific intent of supporting not just the U.S. but also its partners that could benefit from this knowledge. It includes these broad goals:
- Prevent, reduce and counter WMD and emerging threats
- Prevail against WMD-armed adversaries in crisis and conflict
The DOD will begin issuing awards in 2025, and the BAA will continue through fiscal year 2029.
