Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost, commander of the U.S. Transportation Command, received her 2024 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent meeting.
Garrettson founded the annual Wash100 Award in 2014 to honor notable executives shaping the government contracting landscape. The 100 awardees come from both the public and private sectors of the GovCon landscape and have made their mark across numerous associated industries, including military, technological services, national defense and more.
Van Ovost garnered the Wash100 recognition for her efforts to bolster public-private partnerships and enhance the nation’s logistics readiness. Check out her Wash100 profile for more insight into why she was selected to receive the award.
“General Van Ovost has consistently demonstrated reliable leadership, a deep understanding of the threats our nation faces and keen military expertise in today’s era of contested logistics and growing global competition,” commented Garrettson. “Her strategic guidance is helping to ensure our military’s readiness and ability to harness decision advantage in the face of emerging threats and an intensifying geopolitical landscape. General Van Ovost’s contributions to TRANSCOM are an indispensable asset to our nation, and we’re proud to include her in this year’s Wash100 roster.”
During the Potomac Officers Club’s Preparing for the Contested Logistics Era Forum in September 2023, Van Ovost listed three tenets to improve TRANSCOM’s decision-making advantage, including shaping global posture, emphasizing global mobility capacity and focusing on command and control integration.
Congratulations to Van Ovost on receiving her first Wash100 Award. Executive Mosaic is pleased to include her on the esteemed awardee list.
