The Department of Defense said Tuesday the Bryan, Texas-based non-profit integrator will support planning, resourcing, coordinating and uplifting the mentioned requirements.
Work under the sole-source award will be performed at BFA’s Texas location.
The contract has options that will bring its cumulative value to $980.7 million if exercised. The amount of $503.1 million will be obligated from the Navy’s fiscal 2024 shipbuilding and conversion funds and the foreign partner funds at the time of the award.
Naval Sea Systems Command manages the contract.
In May 2023, BFA announced a collaboration with the Navy to support its submarine industrial base. Work seeks to address demands for submarine supply chain capability as well as the capacity and workforce required to build and sustain America’s sea-based strategic deterrence.
