The U.S. Navy has awarded electronic, computer and mechanical engineering company J.F. Taylor Inc. a contract valued at $563.2 million for the continued design, development and integration of simulation systems.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract supports fleet operator training, as well as research, development, test, evaluation and acquisition programs across the service, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
J.F. Taylor will also upgrade, maintain, sustain and provide operation support for the simulation systems associated with the Navy’s RDT&E.
Work will be conducted in Patuxent River and Great Mills, Maryland. The expected contract completion is in September 2029.
The Naval Air Warfare Center serves as the contracting activity.
JFTI has been a long-term partner of the Navy. In August 2019, the defense contractor secured a $108.9 million award from the service branch for technical and engineering in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s integrated battlespace simulation and test department.
The latest contract comes months after J.F. Taylor acquired Ohio-based software developer Clear Creek Applied Technologies in an effort to expand its training systems and mission support offerings for the Navy, Department of Defense and other customers.
