Metris Global Books $100M Coast Guard Contract for Training & Analysis Support Services; Thomas Heckens Quoted

The U.S. Coast Guard has awarded Metris Global a potential five-year, $100 million contract to provide training, education and development program support to help meet the needs of its workforce and carry out its mission within the Department of Homeland Security.

The company said Thursday the Training and Analysis Support Services contract will run through 2029 and covers training, instructional design and development and training analysis services across the USCG, from boat and aircraft operations to maritime law and emergency and disaster management efforts.

Metris will also provide performance analysis, training delivery and instructional systems development services for the agency.

Thomas Heckens, CEO of Metris Global, said the award marks the first time the TASS program has been reawarded to an incumbent contractor.

“Our partnership with the Coast Guard has produced outstanding results thus far in meeting the national security mission, and their decision to continue with Metris Global validates our experience and credibility,” Heckens added.

The Orlando, Florida-based company has been delivering services to the Coast Guard through the TASS contract since 2016.

Metris Global is a service-disabled veteran owned small business focused on providing human performance technology platforms and services for government agency customers.
