Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has appointed Tina Jonas, an aerospace and defense industry veteran, to its board of directors.
The company said Wednesday Jonas will also serve on the board’s audit and finance committee and her appointment is effective Sept. 25.
Leidos CEO Tom Bell said Jonas brings to the board her aerospace and defense leadership experience in government and industry.
“Her insights will be invaluable as we work to support our critical customer missions and our nation’s warfighters. We’re confident her contributions will help continue to drive innovation and growth for our organization, and we’re honored to welcome her to the board,” the 2024 Wash100 awardee added.
Jonas has over two decades of federal government experience. She has held the roles of undersecretary of defense (comptroller) at the Department of Defense, deputy undersecretary of defense for financial management, assistant director and chief financial officer at the FBI and senior analyst with the Office of Management and Budget and the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee.
The newly appointed board member’s industry career includes time holding executive positions at several aerospace and defense companies, including United Technologies, Sikorsky Aircraft and UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH).
She also sits on the boards of Virgin Galactic Holdings and Centrus Energy.
