Cydecor has acquired Artel, a provider of telecommunications and technology support services based in Herndon, Virginia.
“The acquisition of Artel broadens and deepens our offerings while enhancing our ability to serve as an end-to-end solution provider for national security technology,” Nader Elguindi, president and CEO of Cydecor, said in a published statement.
The combination is expected to enhance company capabilities to deliver technology services that meet the needs of a diverse customer set.
Artel, which Cydecor bought from global alternative asset management firm TPG (Nasdaq: TPG), has an over 30-year track record of delivering communication systems to government clients. In 2023, the company secured a Commercial Satellite Communications Proliferated Low Earth Orbit contract from the U.S. Space Force. It partnered with the Rivada Space Network to provide connectivity powered by the 600-satellite OuterNET constellation for government communications.
The contractor also previously delivered global telecommunication circuits to the Defense Information System Agency for an undisclosed amount.
Meanwhile, Arlington, Virginia-headquartered Cydecor has a goal of becoming a national security leader. In 2022, the veteran-owned business acquired InnovaSystems International to expand its technical capabilities and presence in the defense and national security market.
