The newly combined entity of Eutelsat America Corp. and OneWeb Technologies named senior leaders to its leadership team to help advance growth initiatives as it works to expand its geostationary and low Earth orbit satellite communications systems for government and commercial clients.
“With this team, we are well-positioned to deliver innovative multi-orbit satellite communications capabilities to the U.S. government and system integrators, along with select enterprise and broadcast customers, while continuing to provide resilient fixed and mobile SATCOM solutions to support the mission requirements of our customers,” Kevin Steen, president and CEO of the combined EAC-OneWeb organization, said in a statement published Wednesday.
In late April, Steen took the helm of the combined EAC-OneWeb entity.
The members of the combined leadership team of EAC and OneWeb are:
Steve Perreault, Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Perreault will oversee all financial management for the combined EAC-OneWeb organization. Before joining OneWeb in 2022, he spent over 17 years at Thomson Reuters, where he served as head of mergers and acquisitions strategy. He also served as general manager of two software and information businesses.
Ian Canning, Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Canning will lead company operations and development of new capabilities and bring over three decades of experience in global satcom to the position. His industry career included senior management roles at TrustComm, Stratos Global Corp., Iridium Communications (Nasdaq: IRDM), Inmarsat, Nortel Networks and Motorola Codex.
Joe Uglialoro, General Counsel
Uglialoro will oversee the combined entity’s legal functions and leverage his over two decades of experience in the government contracting sector as general counsel. Prior to OneWeb, he worked at several global companies, including Intelsat General, France Telecom and PSINet.
Ed Slater, Chief Commercial Officer
The retired U.S. Air Force officer will manage the development and implementation of the combined organization’s marketing strategy and sales distribution efforts as chief commercial officer. He previously served as director of government aviation at OneWeb and held government business leadership roles at Satcom Direct.
Lesley Rahman, Chief Information Officer
The newly appointed CIO will lead the development and execution of the combined entity’s information technology and cybersecurity strategy. Rahman’s 20-year tech industry career included time as senior vice president of engineering and service delivery at Eutelsat America. She also held senior engineering and IT roles at Intelsat General, Honeywell Technology Solutions and ANSER.
Rodrigo Gomez, Chief Architect
As chief architect, Gomez will lead the development of the roadmap for the combined organization’s constellation, ground infrastructure and related products. He previously served as vice president of future systems at OneWeb. He also held leadership roles at SES Government Solutions, COMSAT, TrustComm and Inmarsat Government
