HII (NYSE: HII) has appointed Amy Boyette, a former official of the Department of Energy, as vice president of strategy and integration of nuclear and environmental services.
The Newport News, Virginia-based global all-domain defense provider said Friday Boyette will be responsible for establishing the company’s strategic direction in the domestic and international market space.
As part of the NES leadership team, she is tasked with assessing possible growth opportunities for the company while overseeing the integration of new stakeholders where NES and its joint venture partners operate.
Before joining HII, Boyette served as director of the office of external affairs at the Savannah River Site, a DOE industrial complex vital for national security and nuclear environment management. She also spent time with the National Nuclear Security Administration as program specialist for the office of material management and minimization.
Michael Lempke, president of NES, acknowledged Boyette’s expertise and leadership experience as key factors that will propel HII’s nuclear business forward, adding, “We are excited to welcome Amy to the team and look forward to an exceptional partnership ahead.”
