Amentum has announced the members of its board of directors, which is set to take effect upon the completion of the engineering and technology platforms provider’s merger with Jacobs’ critical mission solutions and cyber and intelligence businesses.
The Chantilly, Virginia-based company said Steve Demetriou, former CEO of Jacobs, is anticipated to assume the role of executive chair of Amentum upon the deal’s closing, which is expected on Sept. 27.
“This board will ensure strategic alignment and execution against Amentum’s mission of bringing advanced engineering and technology solutions to the most significant challenges in science, security and sustainability,” said Demetriou, who currently serves as executive chair of Jacobs.
In November 2023, Jacobs agreed to spin off and merge its CMS and cyber and intelligence businesses with Amentum through a Reverse Morris Trust transaction to form a new publicly traded government technology services contractor with an annual revenue of approximately $13 billion.
Post-merger, Amentum is set to operate with over 53,000 employees across 80 countries and is expected to kick off trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “AMTM” on Monday, Sept. 30.
