SRI International was awarded a Defense Logistics Agency Land contract with a maximum value of $125.6 million for the U.S. military’s generalized emulation of microcircuits production program.
The Department of Defense said the military service users covered under the long term, indefinite-delivery, hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price, requirements type contract are the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
The award’s performance location is New Jersey, with a completion date of July 31, 2029.
The Menlo Park, California-based company had previously secured GEM contracts, with its wholly owned subsidiary Sarnoff running the program since 1988. The initiative is focused on remanufacturing phased-out critical electronic parts that military units still use.
SRI is also the prime contractor for DLA’s advanced microcircuit emulation program.
DLA Land and Maritime awarded the new contract in a sole source solicitation, with a five-year base period and one six-month extension option.
Maintenance and defense working capital budget from fiscal year 2024 to 2029 covers the job order’s appropriation.
