Second Front Systems has appointed technology industry executive Josh Bosquez as chief technology officer and Jason Weiss, former chief software officer at the Department of Defense, as CTO for the public sector.
The software company said Thursday Bosquez succeeds Enrique Oti, who will transition to the role of chief strategy officer to advance strategic initiatives in both public sector and commercial markets and explore opportunities for international expansion, partnerships and customer missions.
Tyler Sweatt, CEO of 2F, said the addition of Bosquez and Weiss will help scale the company’s mission impact and advance its commitment to accelerating advanced technology platforms.

The newly appointed CTO will oversee the company’s engineering department, help expand product capabilities and manage complex applications across national security by working with the security, growth and product teams to drive mission and business outcomes.
Bosquez brings to the role over 20 years of technology development experience in the IT and cybersecurity sectors.
He joined 2F from Eventus, where he served as CTO and oversaw the engineering and product teams to deliver cloud-native platforms to customers.
He also served as CTO at Armor Cloud Security.
Jason Weiss
In his new role, Weiss will facilitate 2F’s technical and mission-focused engagements with public sector stakeholders in the U.S. and allied countries.
As chief software officer, he led efforts to modernize legacy applications and implement modern software development practices across DOD.
His two-decade industry career included leadership roles at several tech companies, including BAE Systems, Smartrac, Rapid7 (Nasdaq: RPD), Special Technologies Laboratory and Sybase.
