Mia Jordan, a digital transformation executive at Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), discussed how artificial intelligence and the company’s ecosystem of more than 7,000 applications and consultants could help government agencies accelerate digital transformation efforts.
In an article published on Carahsoft.com, Jordan wrote that AI could be divided into automation, predictive AI and generative AI tiers and could enable agencies to become proactive, streamline government operations and improve service delivery.
“Once agencies have automated their processes, they can use predictive AI tools to better forecast how their resources, benefits or services will be used so they can go from being reactive to being proactive,” she noted.
The Salesforce executive explained how AI tools like virtual assistants, chatbots and AI co-pilots could support government employees when it comes to decision-making and help them become more productive.
In this piece, Jordan stated that an enterprise cloud marketplace like the Salesforce AppExchange could help speed up government digital transformation initiatives by offering third-party apps that are ready to install, pre-integrated data platforms and prebuilt business processes to accelerate automation.
She added that agencies facing challenges with systems integration and organizational culture can turn to the AppExchange to seek advice from certified professionals with deep industry knowledge.
Jordan also cited the importance of a transformation roadmap, the involvement of an organization’s senior leadership team and a clear communication strategy in advancing government digital transformation initiatives.
