The U.S. Navy has started soliciting proposals for a potential $939.6 million multiple-award contract to develop and produce Multifunctional Information Distribution System Weapons Data Link small weapons attritable family 2 radios.
According to a solicitation notice published Tuesday, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command will launch a full and open competition for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which has a five-year ordering period.
The IDIQ contract will support the systems engineering and integration work on National Security Agency-certified MIDS WDL SF2 radio terminals.
According to the statement of work, the contract’s scope includes program management, configuration and data management, engineering support, logistics support and manufacturing requirements.
Offers are due Sept. 4.
