CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has secured a potential $416 million task order from the U.S. Army to elevate signals intelligence, or SIGINT, operations with modern technology.
The professional services and information technology company said Tuesday the award covers the development of innovative radio frequency systems the Army will utilize for SIGINT missions.
Under the five-year task order, CACI will design, produce and deliver complex RF systems to the Army. The enhanced systems are expected to be deployed in 2024 as part of the Exploit, Enhance, Enable and Influence program of the Army’s Tactical and Exploitation of National Capabilities, or TENCAP, office.
Aside from the new RF systems, CACI will also provide the military with SIGINT data analysis feeds to assist in tackling evolving threats.
CACI President and CEO John Mengucci, a five-time Wash100 Award winner, emphasized the importance of SIGINT to intelligence missions especially with the emergence of evolving multi-domain threats.
“The Army requires superior integration of modern technologies at the tactical edge. By utilizing our cutting-edge hardware and software systems and our expert analysis, we will give warfighters operational agility through enhanced situational awareness and force protection, as well as increased capacity to outpace our adversaries,” said Mengucci.
CACI has developed and deployed more than 700 systems worldwide for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The company’s SIGINT capabilities use the world’s largest signals library, along with some precision techniques and technology, to collect, process and disseminate information effectively.
The defense and government contractor was previously awarded a similar deal in 2019, in which it was tapped by the Army to develop intelligence data gathering systems for the TENCAP office.
