Arlington, Virginia-based BlueHalo has appointed industry veteran Brian Morrison as corporate executive vice president and sector president of the company’s intelligence portfolio.
Trip Ferguson, chief operating officer of BlueHalo, said in a statement published Monday Morrison’s appointment comes as the defense technology company looks to invest in research and development for intelligence missions and broaden its support to the contested space domain while expanding its cyber and mission capabilities, open source threat intelligence tools and signals intelligence and measurement and signature intelligence expertise.
Morrison most recently served as VP and general manager for the space, cyber and intelligence business line at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
Prior to GDMS, the newly appointed intelligence portfolio lead served as a deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Defense.
His career in the government and military included time as deputy staff director and general counsel at the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, assistant general counsel at the CIA and military intelligence officer during the Iraq War.
