Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has received a potential five-year, $506 million contract from the U.S. Army to build and integrate critical combat systems in support of the military branch’s aviation vertical lift platforms in future multidomain operations.
Booz Allen said Tuesday the Army’s Future Vertical Lift Cross-Functional Team and Program Executive Office Aviation awarded the contract under the Defense Technical Information Center Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract vehicle.
Under the award, the company will advance its use of a modular open systems approach to build, integrate and deploy critical technologies for warfighters and leverage its expertise in analytics, digital engineering, cyber, software development and exercise planning and execution.
The contract covers the assessment of new technologies for implementation across various programs and support for Project Convergence, Experimental Demonstration Gateway Events and other annual tech demonstrations.
Booz Allen formed a group of over 20 large and small businesses and universities to support the effort.
“The FVL CFT and PEO Aviation created a contract with the goal to close the gap between science and technology discovery and experimentation, and rapid deployment of critical technology to the battlefield,” said Brian Orr, a vice president at Booz Allen and head of the company’s Army Aviation portfolio.
“We assembled the right team of national partners to help improve the survivability, lethality, sustainability, and integration of Army Aviation’s enduring fleet and future systems,” added Orr.
