The U.S. Army has started seeking proposals for a potential five-year, $600 million contract to provide construction, maintenance, sustainment, restoration, repair and modernization support services for the Army garrison and tenant organizations at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama.
According to a solicitation notice published Monday, the military branch plans to compete the job order contract as a total 8(a) small business set-aside program.
Potential projects under the JOC indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract include administrative facilities, base support and facility maintenance shops, public safety facilities, vehicle maintenance and engine repair shops, airfield structures, research, development and testing facilities and underground utilities.
Contract work may also include incidental design and testing, survey, studies and abatement for lead based paint and asbestos containing materials.
The contract has a one-year base period, four option years and a priced option to extend services for another six months.
The performance period is projected to kick off on June 20, 2025, and run through June 19, 2030.
Responses to the request for proposals are due Sept. 26.
