There are numerous Navy contracts currently up for grabs. These opportunities cover a wide range of areas, such as information technology, shipbuilding, training and more. Keep reading for a glimpse into seven standout Navy contract opportunities that your company can pursue.
Multifunctional Information Distribution System Weapons Data Link Small Weapons Attritable Family 2 Radio Development and Production
Contract Amount: $940 million
Due Date: Sept. 4
Through this contract, the Navy intends to obtain National Security Agency-certified Multifunctional Information Distribution System Weapons Data Link Small Weapons Attritable Family 2 Radios, or MIDS WDL SF2s. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will have a five-year ordering period.
Under the contract, awardees will be expected to provide systems engineering and integration services as well as sustainment and development support for the MIDS WDL SF2 terminal. The Navy is currently accepting proposals for this opportunity, which are due on Sept. 4.
Pacific Deterrence Initiative Multiple-Award Construction Contract
Contract Amount: $15 billion
Due Date: Aug. 27
The Pacific Deterrence Initiative is a Department of Defense-wide effort to counter threats posed by China – the nation’s pacing challenge – by improving deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region. Through this multiple-award construction contract, which has a ceiling value of $15 billion, the Navy Facilities Engineering Systems Command intends to execute construction projects across this region of focus. The organization expects to issue multiple contracts to carry out this vision. Construction programs will cover:
- New facilities
- Repair and renovation
- Facilities upgrades
Guam Joint Communications Upgrade
Contract Amount: $500 million
Due Date: Oct. 9
This contract targets Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz in Guam, where NAVFAC Pacific aims to build a multi-story communications center to aid in Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Guam operations. Contract activities will cover two main areas:
- Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility construction work
- Demolition and incidental-related work
Architect-Engineer Multi-Discipline Engineering Services
Contract Amount: $249 million
Due Date: Aug. 15
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic intends to use this multiple-award task order contract to procure architect-engineer multi-discipline engineering services from eligible small businesses. The contract will primarily focus on maintenance execution projects and military construction facilities, and services will support:
- Construction
- Repair
- Replacement
- Demolition
- Alteration
- Improvements
Contract activities will be performed primarily at U.S. Marine Corps facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region and will support a variety of areas, such as administration, communications, personnel support, medical needs and more.
Naval Aviation Helicopter Training Program Curriculum, Revision and Maintenance
Contract Amount: $41.5 million
Due Date: Dec. 31
This upcoming contract is designed to help the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division keep its Naval Aviation Helicopter Training Program up-to-date and accurate. The chosen contractor will be responsible for providing:
- A site manager
- Support personnel
- A subject matter expert
- Instructional systems design support
- Training delivery systems operation and maintenance
- Learning Resource Center support
- Information assurance and cybersecurity support
NAWCTSD aims to award the contract in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. It will include a base period of 11 months, four one-year options and a one-month option.
Contract for Mechanical and Electrical Design and Engineering Services, Hampton Roads
Contract Amount: $40 million
Due Date: Sept. 9
NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic is also offering the opportunity for your organization to provide architect-engineer services in the Hampton Roads area of responsibility. Last month, the unit released a solicitation for an IDIQ under which contractors will deliver these services for mechanical and electrical design and engineering activities.
The contract is being solicited as a small business set-aside and will run for a period of five years. NAVFAC aims to begin issuing task orders in May 2025.
Microsoft Enterprise Services II
Contract Amount: Unspecified
Due Date: Unspecified
The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific recently published a draft request for proposals for the Microsoft Enterprise Services II contract, a small-business set-aside for enterprise support and engineering services regarding Microsoft products and services. Responsibilities under this contract include:
- Technical support
- Workshops
- Strategic guidance
The contractor will also be responsible for providing assistance for customers encountering technical difficulties with cloud development, intranet/internet strategies, prototyping and implementing tools within Microsoft infrastructure and application areas.
Though there is not yet a set value for this contract, the previous award reached approximately $1.76 billion.
