Tyto Athene, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has completed its purchase of managed cybersecurity services provider MindPoint Group and appointed MindPoint President Patti Chanthaphone as head of its federal civilian group.
Herndon, Virginia-based Tyto Athene said Tuesday Chanthaphone will oversee the company’s federal solutions business and help drive future cyber and growth initiatives in her new role.
“I’m looking forward to tackling my new role at Tyto and the opportunity to combine and expand our core cybersecurity offerings to our government sector clients while continuing to deliver stellar services and success to our federal civilian customers,” said Chanthaphone.
Chanthaphone is a co-founder of MindPoint, a cybersecurity subject matter expert and a Certified Information Security System Professional.
Expansion of Federal Civilian Market Presence
In early June, federal systems integrator Tyto Athene agreed to acquire MindPoint as part of a push to broaden its cybersecurity capabilities and footprint in the federal civilian market.
Founded in 2009, MindPoint provides cyber defense, architecture and engineering, governance, risk and compliance and proactive security services for federal agencies and commercial clients.
“As a combined team under Patti’s leadership of our Federal Civilian Group, we will be able to provide a fully integrated cyber solution approach that will deepen our support of our federal customers and help us further expand the business,” said Tyto Athene CEO Dennis Kelly.
Michael Lustbader, a managing partner at Arlington, stated that MindPoint will add scale, build on Tyto’s cyber capabilities and further back expansion into the federal law enforcement segments.
